Don Quijote

don Quijote is a Spanish-language education provider that began in 1986 as a language-travel agency and grew into its own network of schools, today operating some 32 locations across twelve countries in Spain and Latin America as part of the Ideal Education Group. Its Barcelona centre occupies a protected modernist building on Rambla de Catalunya, in the Eixample district, constructed between 1907 and 1909 and described by the school as one of the city's most significant Modernist buildings. The centre houses eleven naturally lit classrooms with original ornamental detail, social areas and a rooftop terrace, and sits within walking distance of Passeig de Gracia and roughly ten minutes from the beach. Teaching is organised around small groups, with a stated maximum of eight students per class and courses running from fifteen to thirty-five lessons per week. Beyond general intensive Spanish, the school delivers private and semi-private tuition, gap-year, internship and volunteer programmes, family courses, summer camps and online classes, and serves as an official examination centre for DELE, SIELE and CCSE. Accreditation by the Instituto Cervantes underpins its curriculum. Courses accept adult learners at every proficiency level and, because the intensive programmes start every Monday throughout the year, students can begin at almost any point in the calendar. Accommodation is arranged separately through host families, student residences or shared apartments.
