Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering

As a student in the civil engineering program at the School of Science and Engineering, you will develop a comprehensive skill set and leadership background needed to address society’s needs at local, regional and global levels. Students have the opportunity to solve problems within construction, environmental, geotechnical, structural, transportation and water resources engineering fields. Students also have the opportunity to join many student clubs such as the student chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineers, Engineers Without Borders and Billikens for Clean Water. **Note: Application deadlines for applicants outside the U.S. who require a Spanish student visa: Fall: May 1 Spring: Sept. 1 Tuition fee for 2024 - 2025 is stated below: Permanent undergraduate, full-time (12 to 18 credits): Fall 2024 - 12,800 euros Spring 2025 - 12,800 euros Permanent undergraduate, part-time: Fall 2024 - 1,110 euros, per credit Spring 2025 - 1,110 euros, per credit**

• You must be graduating from, or have completed, an accredited secondary school (or hold an acceptable GED/HiSET result), with the school-leaving qualification and any national exam that gives access to university in your own education system. SLU's engineering programmes additionally require a minimum cumulative high-school GPA of 3.00 for first-year applicants (2.70 college GPA for transfer applicants). Strong applicants have 15 units of high-school work, including three or four units of English and four or more units of mathematics (algebra I and II, geometry and precalculus
• Algebra II with Trigonometry is not sufficient). Admission to the School of Science and Engineering considers secondary-school grades, test scores if submitted, co-curricular activities and any college coursework. SAT/ACT scores are optional for students in the U.S. system, and unless exempt you must show academic English proficiency (see the English requirement).
