Grand Diploma is a bachelor's degree programme, taught in English at Le Cordon Bleu - Madrid in Madrid, with tuition currently recorded as €44,350.

Program overview

Grand Diploma is currently the most complete and renowned culinary programme. It consists of the “Cuisine Diploma” (Basic, Intermediate and Superior Certificates) and the “Pastry Diploma” (Basic, Intermediate and Superior Certificates). Le Cordon Bleu offers the most complete theoretical-practical training combining Chef demonstrations and practical sessions. Demonstration classes are taught in especially designed rooms and all the necessary equipment to observe in detail the work and techniques used by the Chef instructor. After the demonstration, that lasts approximately 3 hours, students can taste what has been cooked, which allows them to learn to identify the different textures and flavours — an essential part of their training —. The practical classes allow students to apply the techniques learnt during the Chef demonstration. All students have their own professional workspace and the School provides all the necessary ingredients to individually elaborate their own recipe from beginning to end, always under the supervision of a Chef. Language: Spanish// English (simultaneous translation system through earphones)

  • previous experience in the sector is not required. Applicants whose mother tongue is not Spanish or English must show sufficient spoken and written Spanish or English in the admission interview, and the school may ask for a B2 (CEFR) certificate. After your documents are reviewed you have a one-to-one admission interview (in person, or by phone or video call if you live outside Madrid), and admitted students receive an admission letter.
