Admission requirements

Programme-specific requirements recorded in SIT Connect.

You need a completed bachelor's degree of at least 180 ECTS (or equivalent) in electrical engineering or a related field (e.g. physical, mechanical, electronic or energy-related engineering), including at least 60 ECTS in electrical engineering and 30 ECTS in mathematics (calculus, numerical methods, algebra, probability theory and basic control theory), with an average grade of at least 75%. Final-year students may apply for a conditional offer
proof of English is required unless a waiver applies (a TU/e Year 2 needs higher English scores). A separate motivation letter (maximum 1,500 words) is required, and no admission exam is currently required. Year 1 is at KTH or UPC. UPC is a Year 1 university (Master's degree in Electric Power Systems and Drives) and also a Year 2 option (Power Electronics as Enabling Technology for Renewable Integration) for students who start at KTH.
