ESEI International Business school Barcelona

ESEI International Business School is a small private business school in the Sarria-Sant Gervasi district of Barcelona, founded in 1989 by Jorge Estera Sanza to give the city an English-language window onto international business. It has stayed deliberately compact: the school reports roughly 200 enrolled students, more than 6,000 graduates worldwide and a faculty of over 55 practitioners drawn largely from companies operating in and around Barcelona. Teaching is built around Project-Based Learning, in which cohorts work on live briefs supplied by partner firms rather than sitting purely academic assessments, and students leave with a portfolio of delivered projects alongside their transcript. The portfolio spans undergraduate business degrees, specialised master's programmes in areas such as digital marketing, sports management and entrepreneurship, an International MBA, and short executive courses; every programme is delivered in English. Awards are made through external partners rather than by ESEI itself: bachelor's degrees are validated by UK institutions including Anglia Ruskin University and The University of Law, while master's programmes carry accreditation from Universidad Catolica de Murcia (UCAM) in Spain, and the school operates as an approved QUALIFI centre. Career services, internship placement with local and multinational employers, and an international student body from many nationalities are central to how the school positions itself.
